Who are we?

IMG_6777 (2)NET Ministries Australia recruits and trains young adults (18 – 35) who volunteer a year of their lives to share their experience of Jesus and serve the Church. These volunteers come from across Australia and all around the world; Canada, the United States and New Zealand in particular. Netters receive five weeks of intensive training including formation in prayer and scripture, theology, Catholic spirituality, evangelisation, liturgy, ministry skills and Christian community living.

What we do

IMG_6783 (2) NET (National Evangelisation Teams) is a Catholic peer to peer youth ministry that puts into action the Church’s mission to evangelise and disciple young people. The NET Teams do this by:

Proclaiming – The Gospel of Jesus Christ through a personal witness of faith
Inviting – young people to live for Christ
Forming –
young people in Christian character through the study and practice of our faith
Equipping – young adults with the ministry skills needed for evangelising and discipling young people.

NET Ministries has been operating within Australia for the last 25 years and have grown in that time to nine teams working within different dioceses across Australia, spreading the message of God and Christ’s love to those that they encounter.

NET Ministries is built on the unique quality of peer-to-peer youth ministry and the team facilitate a range of retreats and events on many topics. They run retreat days for schools and parish groups, overnight retreats, parish based ministry (youth groups/youth nights etc.), university ministry and host their own events. The NET Team provide a general missionary presence in the Archdiocese.
